I have had a couple of bad experiences with this company now. Once when I ordered some stud earrings. The back broke off so we contacted them only to be told that the earrings had been discontinued & we would have to pay more for the latest version. Despite paying more there was quite a delay in getting these out. These were a gift for a work colleague so it was rather embarrassing the earrings broke in the first place & then took so long to sort. Then before Christmas, I ordered two items that were both showing as available only to receive an email to say they were out of stock. I agreed to wait on the basis they would arrive in time. They arrived a couple of days before Christmas & one of the items was incorrect as it wasnt what I ordered. I tried calling the company but their phone lines just rang out so I kept emailing but I had no response. Last minute I had to go out and buy an alternative gift elsewhere. I had ordered the gifts late November so they should have arrived in ample time. Joshua James only responded to me when I raised a PayPal dispute. They were not apologetic & agreed to send me a label so that I could return the item for a refund. The refund then took almost a month. Really poor customer service when something goes wrong. I have since ordered from a competitor of theirs who sent my order straight the way & provide much nicer packaging than Joshua James with a bigger presentation box for the jewellery & a gift bag. Definitely wont shop with Joshua James again & Ive had much better service elsewhere. I dont normally feel the need to leave reviews but they have dealt with me pretty badly so my advice would be to avoid them! Unless you want lots of hassle & grief when / if something goes wrong.

Would give zero stars if possible, ordered two charms for a birthday present and an anniversary present and then found BOTH were out of stock. Both dates have passed and still not here, supposed to have been posted Friday 1st class but it's now Monday. Will never buy from them again, suspect I'll end up opening a dispute through my credit card company.

DO NOT USE JOSHUA JAMES TO PURCHASE NOMINATION CHARMS - THEY ARE EITHER SELLING FACTORY SECONDS OR FAKE ITEMS. I have attached a picture to show what they are actually selling versus what they advertise. I have now purchased two nomination charms from Joshua James, both of which I have requested to return. The first item I purchased was incredibly bad quality - rough edges around the charm and not very well finished at all. The second item they have sold me looks nothing like the picture: the heart is a different shape, there are scratches all over the "rose gold" (it is certainly NOT rose gold), and it honestly looks like a cheap knock-off. I have emailed Joshua James four times to complain regarding the heart charm and they are now ignoring my emails and requests for a refund. I have sent the pictures of the items received to Nomination to inform them that Joshua James is either selling incredibly faulty/factory second items, or fake Nomination charms and they are looking into this. I have also contacted trading standards regarding the items I have been sold and the fact that Joshua James are not being forthcoming in giving me a refund.I am absolutely disgusted by how Joshua James have been able to sell these items to me and are now ignoring my emails and requests for a full refund. The items were for my sisters' 30th birthdays (twins) and now I have nothing to give them as I can't afford to purchase anything else until they refund me.

Absolutely shocking. Deserving of zero points, not even one point.1. Ordered an item which said it was in stock - it was not in stock.2. When I queried it, they said it 'had just gone out of stock ' - however their website continued to say it was in stock, so they are knowingly lying about stock levels.3. I asked to cancel the order, which they acknowledged, however they still took my money and despatched the order4. Now saying they won't refund5. They takes days to respond to emails and they NEVER answer the phone.Worst customer service I've ever seen - terrible, terrible, terrible. They really should be reported to Trading Standards.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered a nomination bracelet and 4 charms on the site, and the site clearly displayed that all items were in stock. After the order went through I got an automated email saying that they were awaiting the items to come into stock, however that day they still processed full payment from my card. I waited until the end of the week and tried to phone them countless times, but each time the phone kept ringing for 2 and a half minutes until it just cut off. I emailed through the website, expressing my displeasure, and asked for a full refund. Today, 3 days later, with no response from the company, I called my credit card company to dispute the transaction and the transaction has been stopped, but with no notice to me from Joshua James that this had happened. Extremely unprofessional, borderline shady company. Avoid.
