Although the staff were kind and helpful at the Hessle branch I feel let down by the service we got from the Co-op as a whole its all about advertising the business as when the hearse arrived at the house they had company boards placed in front of the family flowers in both side windows obscurring the floral letters which the family had paid hundreds of pounds for. Afterwards we had asked for the flowers to be taken back to the house and they were left at the crematorium so a family member had to go and collect them. They were also supposed to be providing a visitors book for people to sign and that did' nt materialize either. They were difficult to get in touch with if it happens to be a weekend or bank holiday as you only get the head office then they send an email to the branch which in actual fact is closed so pointless really. I would say to people go to a small established family run funeral directors and you will get a more efficient and personal sevice to help family say goodbye to their loved ones.
